I am a teacher specializing in Technology Education attending the University of Victoria working towards my Masters in Educational Technology. I have always enjoyed working with my hands and mind and sharing the practical “hands on” knowledge that I have with others. I am a Journeyman Carpenter and have a passion for construction and woodwork. I have found the joys of working with electronics, robotics, and 3D printing, having made my own DIY CNC, robotic hand, and many other projects. I try to bring new and exciting technologies into my classroom to excite and engage my students and prepare them for their futures.
I am currently working towards a MEd in Educational Technology, a educational method that can be seen to be on the rise around the world as we become more understanding of the digital age we are in. Finding ways to adapt educational technology to the Technology Education classroom can be challenging and foreign at times but, as I am learning, it can also be a meaningful way to reinforce learning and aid students in skill and knowledge growth.
